Activities:

For most troop activities, departure is from Scout Hall. Please arrive ½ hour prior to the departure time to load equipment, etc. Return times are variable and Scouts are not dismissed until after the gear is unloaded, cleaned, and put away. Scouts should arrive for all activities in their Scout uniform unless otherwise notified.

The monthly outings, service projects or camping trips are important opportunities for a Scout to practice leadership skills, provide service, and of course, have fun. Encourage your Scout to attend as many of these events as possible. Review your family and the troop calendar with your Scout so he knows if he is able to attend troop activities.

Permission slips are handed out and uploaded to the Troop website 2-4 weeks prior to each trip. The slips should be filled out and returned no later than the beginning of the meeting two (2) Thursdays prior to the trip so we have a count of those attending. Food must be purchased, reservations made, and equipment packed – it is important we know in advance who will be attending.

Permission slips contain all information the Scout should need to prepare for trip (ex. what activity it is, the trip cost, when to meet, and so on). The information you will provide on the return portion includes parent contact information for that weekend and any restrictions on your Scout's activities during the outing.

The Annual Health and Medical Record, containing health and emergency contact information for each Scout and Adult Leader, must be on file and ALL parts must be updated ANNUALLY. Additionally, the Troop Allergy Notification & Consent to Administer Discretionary Medications form must also be updated annually for each Scout. These forms are available available from the Documents section of the Troop website.
